The Graystones began in the summer of 2023 with a simple idea between two friends, Grayson and Max, who shared a love for music and a dream of starting a band. For a few months, they jammed just the two of them—Grayson on drums and Max on bass—but quickly realized that to build a real band, they'd need more.

Their search led to a series of serendipitous encounters. They discovered Hope performing with her mother's band during a summer concert in a local park—her voice and presence made it clear she had to be part of this. Harin answered an online post looking for a keyboardist and turned out to be a perfect fit. Philip, their saxophonist, was found busking in the local downtown. Hope introduced family friends Kyle and Ishaan, both standout guitarists, while Izzy—Grayson and Max's classmate—joined with powerhouse vocals. Evan, their trombonist, came through a recommendation from their school's band director. Piece by piece, The Graystones came together through chance meetings, shared friendships, and a mutual passion for music.
